To briefly remind everybody - the former are:

(1) The classical American progressivism;
(2) The notion of protecting the "little man";
(3) The anti-Americanism of the anti-imperialism and anti-capitalism kind.

The first of the latter (described in my previous post in this series) is the disregard of competency, qualification, achievements, ultimately of all facts that do not advance the desired narrative, excluding any _real_ stuff from consideration, even in STEM. I have quite a few examples adn illustrations for this point, but let me give those in the end. Let's get to the second constituent part.
The second constituent part of the contemporary American leftism is the moral relativity and other kinds of relativity. The relativity has become the new absolute, so to speak. There are many aspects of it. For instance:
(A) The moral relativity of us and our enemies. This aspect became extremely obvious after the 9/11 terrorist attack. We were told that we had to understand the terrorists. That we needed to "bomd them with bread". When I finally made it to Columbia U campus that Friday, I was greeted with a huge banner spanning across the walkway. The banner informed everybody that the main task of the moment was to stop the US military. There many rallies on campus, with all those hysterical "speakers" crying that, "Those poor Arabs are so desperate, they simpy have no other way to go except to hijack our planes and fly them into the buildings!" I heard that crap with my own ears. And so on, and so forth.
(B) The absence of any authority of time-tested institutions and systems - religion, Constitution, etc. The utility of this approach to the left is obvious - the Party has all the moral authority and its action are not hindered by anything or anybody.
(C) Disregard of any laws and principles on which the world (and the society in particular) is build. Most notably, in the social sphere - the family and gender structure of the society and the world. Anybody who has different views is hunted down and the total enemy of the people. But other norms and principles are opposed as well. For example, the simple idea that it is natural (and, in fact, legal and mandatory) for the American government to take care of the American interests first.
(D) FInally - the monstrous double standards. To illustrate this point, I would like to give a link to an Late Show "parody" depicting the First Lady. Watch this and tell me if you see any respect to the presidency, the idea that President's family is to be left out of politics, respect for immigrants, respect to other cultures and other countries, and so on, and so for. Crap like this is coming out all the time, and it is not produced by some fringe group of KKK remnants. And yet - there is no outrage from the left, even though the left strive to completely obliterate anything in which they see any shred of an imaginary offence to their agenda.
