I strongly believe that it was not a coincidence that Pluto was discovered in 1930 and then was officially demoted from the planet category in 2006.

Astrologically, Pluto represents an extremely powerful force. It affects large numbers of people and for a long time (as Pluto is a slow moving planet). The principle of Pluto is the principle of merciless fire that burns that which has finished its time of existence justified by Karma and thus has to be destroyed. Pluto is not Uranus that can represent a warning sign, a revolution, deviation, or discovery. Pluto is Death.

It is clearly not very surprising that Pluto officially came to the visible scene in the years leading to WW2 that killed tens of millions and fundamentally transformed the world. I do not want to talk about this part here. It is more interesting that the Mankind decided to diminish Pluto's apparent significance in 2006. Yes, there was an astronomical rational presented, but I do not believe that things happen "just because", especially in science. :) As I have been saying time and again, our world has come to the point where it largely disregards or even actively opposes the most fundamental principles on which human beings and societies are built and function, and the world believes that it can do this without consequences. And so it has symbolically demoted even the principle of death of that which has outlived its time or deviated from the Laws by too much.

This is unfortunate. Perhaps this marks the point-of-no-return for the western civilization. Pluto symbolizes Death, but one of its correspondences is the Phoenix bird. A new and transformed world is born our of the fire that consumes the old one. And it does help if one is not oblivious to the process.

Once again, I am aware of the astronomical argument that lead to the Pluto's demotion. However, from the astrological point of view, just like the "simple" physical positions of planets correspond to certain processes in human psyche and the society, such "simple" scientific decisions are also very symbolic and correspond to much deeper events.
