Climate change is the biggest problem facing us in the twenty first century. It is both a product of the social inequalities embedded in our society, and an amplifier of them. Environmental justice movements have raised the profile of race and class but have rarely engaged meaningfully with gender inequality. Susan Buckingham will argue that understanding gender relations is fundamentally necessary in order to understand how climate change is produced, is escalating, is legislated for, and campaigned against. >>
