neither Bush nor Obama hate or hated America.
both are examples of a mediocre-to-bad president.
both had done some positive things and many more bad things.
they are both pragmatic, both reasonably intelligent, contrary to the popular opinion, and both exceedingly lazy ( time off - Obama beat Bush by a month i think so far).
i have roughly the same feelings about both. none even close to hatred that many people feel for one or another.
however - you know who DID hate America? Michelle Obama. her early rhetoric was hateful and very recognizably so - i heard her cowevals in college. she really comes from internal amerca-haters.
but they shut her up pretty good, once someone realized she was damaging his popularity and generally being toxic in a stupid way.
however this america-bashing by americans was all the vogue on campuses, circa 1977-1987. you should have seen MIT during that time. oh my.
they used to have a little student newspaper, called LINK.
